Lubbock, Texas is preparing for its annual pop culture convention, Lubbock-Con, and content creator Robyn Rush will be in attendance as a special guest. She will be overseeing a panel about K-pop in her first appearance at a convention as an invited guest. Robyn has been a MACG Community member since the company’s founding year.
In sharing the news, Robyn was informed via email by Lubbock-Con that they are “excited to have you not only as a guest, but as an ambassador for your area of expertise to share your knowledge and grow the community.” She is currently scheduled to lead her panel on Saturday, February 23 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in Room 103 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
The official Facebook page for Lubbock-Con states that it’s a “non-profit organization dedicated to creating a nerd community for the 806 [area code] including cosplay, comics, gaming, Star Wars, zombies, anime and more!” The experience is made possible with the support of Texas Tech University’s College of Media and Communications.
